Request/suggestion for Comments fields

Question asked by Todd Richtsmeier on Mar 6, 2012

Hello,

We're going to be leveraging the various comments fields within the QIDs to help provide company risk analysis information to the various support teams.  It will help the understand the risk and prioritize work based on the timelines set in the comments fields.  There are 2,000 characters allowed per comments field, however only 2 lines are visible in Edit mode.  In non-Edit mode, the text does not respect the formatting (line breaks, tabs, etc) that were entered.

Here is the text we would like to see, within the same screen (without scrolling).  About 15 lines.

The screenshots are attached.  They are only of the Impact comments field, however the Threat and Solution comments field act the same.

Would it be possible for Qualys to adjust the new interface, for all QID comments fields to:

  A) Edit mode: allow 15 lines to be visible.  Or, ideally, adjust the number of lines to the window size.

  B) non-Edit mode:  respect the formatting entered in Edit mode.

Thanks!

-Todd
