Is it possible to a second LAN to a virtual appliance?
(We would like to add a LAN on each network we have to avoid firewall changes)
Thank you both!
We ended up with using LAN/WAN with no VLANs.
Now it looks like the scans of the WAN network run on from that NIC or at least it looks like it is using the route for that network - any idea how it's possible?
(some details: LAN is 10.3.3.55, WAS is 10.3.4.55, when scanning 10.3.4 network we don't see any traffic on the firewall and scan finish successfully)
You can edit the scanner appliance settings in the GUI. You have the option to add a VLAN to the appliance.
Hi, the virtual scanner appliance supports up to 2 virtual network interfaces.
Generally, only one interface is used, both for LAN / WAN. In this case, the same interface is used for scanning the targets and making an outbound connection to the Qualys cloud platform.
If you enable the use of both interfaces, one is used for LAN - scanning of targets, other is used for WAN - connecting to Qualys cloud.

Eli, this would depend on how your network and routing is set up. I'll recommend taking a look at your network diagram/topology and discussing with your network team.
