QID 105741 (EOL/Obsolete Operating System: Solaris 10 Detected) was published on Feb 7. Checking the Solaris website, that O/S is not EOL until Jan 2021:
Can someone at Qualys please advise on this?
Thanks in advance.
Regular support (Oracle calls it Premier Support in this case) for Solaris 10 ended on January 2018, and only Extended Support (with a separate paid agreement between customer and vendor) is available through January 2021.
Qualys treats EOL based on the end of standard support. Details on this are in Best Practice: Always Report on EOL Product QIDs.
If you have purchased Extended Support, you can configure Qualys to ignore this QID.
Thank you Robert.
This, of course, leads to another question/issue that has come up before in the Community. Our company does have extended support, so I would like to ignore these.
Hoping someone in development can provide an update as to when I will be able to click on the highlighted area in the screen shot below, and ignore all 30 vulnerabilities for 365 days at once, rather than one at a time.
This is documented in Case #120973, which was raised in 2016.
Thank goodness the results only include 30 servers and not 300.....
Thanks in advance for your attention!!
I forwarded this thread to your TAM -- you may want to contact as well. If others have the same requirement, it's best to also contact your TAM, since that helps bump priority.
