Oh that, you can change the password in the Schedule. so if you look under WAS->Reports-->Schedule
Should be the password your looking for.
I assume you mean you have forgotten the password in the WAS authentication record. Is this correct?
If that is correct then it would kinda depend; dferguson would be the expert; if you used a Selenium script just download that.
Else if you could get a PCAP of the WAS scan it would work; Dave might have a better suggestion but Qualys support would not be able to get it.
You might be able to fetch the Authentication record with the API and get the information as well but I have not tried that.
when we send out the email notifications to application owners the email contain a URL to download the reports.
They won't be able to view the report unless they know the password.
I assume this was setup by previous team member so we don't have access to it.
Busby I removed the password and chose PDF as selected format.
I re-generate the report but still it asks for the password.
The reports is generated from a monthly scan do I have to wait till "next launch" to see the effect?
First, you are talking about the WAS reports and not the VM Scans.
Very interesting, in the VM Module you can select a report schedule and run the report now without altering the schedule. It looks like this feature has not made its way into the WAS module.
But you should be able to select the existing schedule and create a new one just like it. Then alter the password or change the format. Once the new report is delivered it should not be an issue. Beyond that you may need to open a case with support or I can try and replicate on my end and walk you through step by step; sometimes it does reveal things that we just assume.
