Someone knows how to filter a CSV using Excel to see the data like the follow imagem?
I was searching about, the maximum that I find was telling to configure a template. Is this rigth?
If yes, how?
if I understand your trying to do a filter by DATE; I believe you need to make sure that Excel recognizes that data as a DATE Datatype.
It is probably seeing that as just text so you would need to convert to a date. Then it should work as well as pivots on that field.
I'm trying to transform the result scan in a data like this sheet. Busby
- Extract scan result in CSV to Excel.
I don't know how to organize the itens like this sheet.
How to import on excel to stay like this image.
Separeted by column IP, Host, O.S etc etc
Ever I import to excel the data comes unorganized.
ok so you get the DATA from Qualys as a CSV.
Then you want to import that file into Excel? Because the file has the extension CSV then excel makes a ton of assumptions.
Change the extension to .txt
Now if you do a file-open in Excel and point to the text file it should start an import wizard that will then allow you to tell excel what row to start the import on, how the file is delimited and in the date column you should be able to say it is a date.
Now if you want it more automated you can do this in Powershell with some effort. One line to import the CSV file then you may need to manipulate the information and export.
Otherwise attach a sample of what you want and I will try and get you what you want.
I changed to .txt and I imported the text on excel, and this is the result.
I would like to have something like the first pic( On the top of topic).
ok that is not going to work, forgot about all of the embedded carriage returns etc...
Let me restate the problem to make sure I am clear. You open the CSV but the DATE column from your image above 27/07/2011 11:45 is not sorting etc... like a date
Assuming that is correct you would need to convert that to a DATE in Excel, is what you want. I can construct a formula that does that for you.
My goal is export the CSV from Qualys (scan result). Import on excel in a way that the comes like the first image.
With one collumn separated by IP, one column to Operation System, Severity and etc.
To get like the example, Column E to get all operation systems, column F scanned/not scanned...
