Qualys Agent CLI status?

I have been installing agents onto various devices and when they don't connect to the platform I spend quite a bit of time trying to work it out.

 

MacOSx is the most problematic, status is "restarting" but doesn't give me anything else.  I'd like to know, does it not take the activation key? DNS didn't work?  When it restarts, a little CLI of "connecting to platform" "connection failed" "bad key" or whatever, would be extremely helpful.  Otherwise its install, activate, uninstall until some sequence works.

 

Can I issue a command to the agent to get its status?
