Hi, We are trying to generate CSV reports which would give us:
# of vulns per host broken down by level 3 / 4 / 5
I don't see a mechanism for formatting such as this.
Hi, I ended up calling support and was told I cannot format it as requested. What I wanted was something as simple as this, I put in a feature request.
You can create a custom report template which includes or excludes certain details on the assets and their vulnerabilities. You can then run a report using this template to download in a variety of formats including CSV.
Hope this helps.
Hi Ian, I have tried to do that and I don't see a place where I can make the report summarize the # of vulns per type and also list the hostname. I'll dig further.
When you say 'summarize by type', do you mean severity?
Okay so within the scan report template you have a Display section which includes a check box for 'Text Summary' which includes a count of the number of vulnerabilities per severity level, including a total, for both Confirmed and Potential vulnerabilities.
For the vulnerabilities themselves, the list of hosts can be included by setting the Sort order to 'Host' and checking the 'Vulnerability Details' checkbox in the Detailed Results section of the template. This adds the Detailed Results section to the report which lists each host and all of the vulnerabilities identified for that host. Alternatively you can set the Sort order to 'Vulnerability' with 'Vulnerability Details' checked to give you a vulnerability-centric view with each vulnerability listing the hosts which are impacted by it.
