Hi community,

I have several machines that are sensitive during specific parts of the day. During those times, we can't run the cloud agent as there is an potential impact of the I/O among other things that cant be afforded.

These machines are managed and I have two options as I see it:

  • Start the qualys cloud service and have it running during given times of the day and then closing it down again.
  • Running it manually a few times in the window that we got.

I would personally prefer to have it run not as a daemon, but completely manual on these systems. Is there a way to run it like that, standalone and manually only? And what is/are there any the best practices surrounding that?

The systems are Debian for reference sake.

Many thanks,

/B
