What's the meaning of "domain" here in Qualys?

Hi there,

I've tried to find an explanation to this on the Online Help, but found no clear explanation.

I've seen that there are two ways to enter FQDN in the Assets tab:

- Domains

- Virtual Hosts

Let's imagine that I have two FQDN (www.website1.com and www.website2.com) hosted on the same IP address (1.2.3.4). I suppose that I have to enter that information using "Virtual Hosts", right?

In a Windows network, you can have one Active Directory domain (company.com) for many servers, but each server has it's own hostname (server1.company.com, server2.company.com).

I've seen that the Assets > Domains tab allows you to enter just one FQDN for multiple IP addresses (they show "qualys.com" as an example). I see no explanation there that it is used for Microsoft Active Directory. What is it used for? What's the logic behind that? Where are they used later during the test?

Kind regards,

Andrés.
