Hi,

I'm trying to make a call to WAS APIs, but it fails with "Authentication failed" error message.

Here is call I'm trying to make through command line, based on the documentation:

curl -u “USERNAME:PASSWORD” "https://qualysapi.qualys.com/qps/rest/3.0/count/was/report"

I'm using username and password in clear text. Could this be the issue?

The response I get:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<ServiceResponse xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="https://qualysapi.qualys.com/qps/xsd/3.0/was/webapp.xsd">

  <responseCode>INVALID_CREDENTIALS</responseCode>

  <responseErrorDetails>

    <errorMessage>Authentication failed</errorMessage>

    <errorResolution>Verify both 'user' and 'password' credentials.</errorResolution>

  </responseErrorDetails>

</ServiceResponse>

Thanks,

Andrei
