Can anyone help me out, what could be the possibilities of getting this message- “No result available for these host”
As I see all hosts are alive, still I am receiving this message for them.
Check the following :
- Was the host detected online
- ports blocked by firewall, IPS, IDS
- If the host is Windows, does the Windows firewall UAC block Qualys?
Let me know
Thanks for your response. See my comments in-line.
- Was the host detected online:
Yes, it is online.
- ports blocked by firewall, IPS, IDS:
I see in report:
QID 34011 : Some of the ports filtered by the firewall are: 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 53, 80, 111, 135, 443.
Listed below are the ports filtered by the firewall.
No response has been received when any of these ports is probed.
7008-7009, 7011-9098, 9100-9989, 9991-10109, 10111-42423, 42425-65535
Also see QID 6, 34011, 45038, 82056 in scan report.
- If the host is Windows, does the Windows firewall UAC block Qualys?:
Not sure about this.
Did you get chance to go over my comments, please help.
The only answer is we need those ports open between the Qualys scanner and the host being scanned. I see most ports are blocked.
Thanks Deb J,
There are other IP's from same segment which are getting result, so why the result is not showing for few IP's or why it is require to set up a rule for specific IP's at firewall. As a number of IP's from the same segment coming clean.
Appreciate your help!!
There is no result to show for these IP's and they were never scanned.
Yes, these specific IP's have ports turned off via a Host level FW, AV, HIDS, HIPS or a network firewall.
If your hosts are in a domain environment, you may also perform Authenticated scans by having a AV or FW profile for allowing the Qualys Scanner IP's.
