I ran a couple of trusted scans for a few windows servers, The report does not show any of the missing Microsoft security patches. What could be the reason? Same servers were scanned by another scanner and there the missing patch list was available.
Dig into the scan report and have a look at the Authentication QIDs. In particular the ones listed here: Windows Authentication QIDs
If that link fails, then search the online help for Authentication.
My guess is that the scan appliance is having issues due to a firewall and either the ports on the host are not available or the authentication cannot occur.
I guess it is issue with Firewall as you mentioned. I am checking that from the nw team. Will again run scan once they confirm.
Else I will specifically run the Windows Authentication QIDs.
