I am scanning some servers in AIX platform.
When I try to test some controls (ex: 8307 and 8388), the return is "no-data-from-signature"
Can anyone help me?
"no-data-from-signature" means that there is not data for the controls...this would indicate that you will need to scan the target. If you have run the scan and are not getting any data for all of the controls then ensure the following and relaunch the scan.
1. Ensure that there is an appropriate Authentication Record and the scan summary is showing authentication is successful.
2. If the you are restricting the scan by policy then ensure the appropriate policies are in the list otherwise don't use this option for the test.
Did this ever get resolved? I'm curious because I'm having the identical error on a HPUX machine. Case is already open and escalated with engineers. More curious because I have successful authentication and only two controls from the CIS HPUX template (CID 7408, 7418) are indicating the error status of no data found from signature. Controls are in the Policy I'm using. Scan profile is limited to the policy I'm using. Target machine is in asset group that's in the policy. All indications are setup is correct.
