I wants us to implement TLS 1.2 on the load balancer Pound (instead of TLS 1.0) - is this possible with pound and how can we do this?
Openssl Version :OpenSSL 0.9.8k 25 Mar 2009
Server OS version : Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
Please help me
Does anybody have answer ?
With OpenSSL 0.9.8k, you are not going to be able to support TLS 1.2, no matter what software you use.
Upgrading the system version of OpenSSL might be tricky, because so many packages depend on it. But, if it is possible to compile Pound statically against a custom version of OpenSSL, then you can install the most recent OpenSSL 1.0.1g somewhere where it's not going to interfere with the system version (e.g., /opt/openssl-1.0.1g), then compile a fresh Pound.
I've never used Pound so I can't help with that, but here are similar instructions for Apache:
