Hosted Infrastructure: No Whitelist and DDOS Alerts

Has anyone else had trouble with their hosting vendor allowing Qualys external (PCI) appliances to be whitelisted?

 

We have a large hosting vendor that starts with an A who claims they are unable to whitelist the Qualys scanners.  This is causing some of our scans to fail because their security appliances are interfering with scans.  We dialed down the scan aggressiveness, but now it's taking over 3 days to scan our hosts that used to scan in about a day.

 

Has anyone gone through this and found a good resolution?
