How can I trace why this message is returned when I test SSL for a certain domain?
No need. Send me the hostname and I will trace it for you.
Can I send you the hostname via this way?
Or do I have to post it on the community page?
If you don't want it seen in the public, please send it to me via a private message. Otherwise, just add it to this thread.
I've seen 2 problems at this URL. The first is the incorrect Location response in the redirection. The Location header is expected to contain a complete URL (e.g., https://www.example.com/some/path?params), but yours contains just (/some/path?params).
Now, this is actually pretty common and I already had some code to work around it, but your response was such that my code malfunctioned. I have fixed this now (not deployed yet; will be deployed with the fix for the other problem, see below).
The second problem is that your site does not work with cookies disabled -- it just keeps redirecting me to the same location over and over again, creating a loop. I've seen this behaviour in other places too, and I think I have no choice but to support cookies in my code.
FYI, browsers (well, Firefox at least) do not send cookies when requesting favicon.ico. So in your case all such requests keep being redirecting in a loop until Firefox gives up (on fetching favicon.ico).
I'll report here after this is fixed in production.
Thanks for the quick response.
I will look at the cookie behavior of the website.
FYI, the most recent release provides a simple cookie store implementation, which works when run against your web site.
