In order to determine the impact of Spectre/Meltdown and track remediation progress across your entire environment, it is important to visualize vulnerability detections in a dynamic dashboard.

For more information on Spectre and Meltdown, please see our blog posting.

Using Qualys AssetView, we have created a dashboard with preloaded widgets that can help track remediation progress as you patch against Spectre and Meltdown. These widgets were built with out-of-the-box functionality, and can be imported into any Qualys subscription.

The dashboard is attached to this document, and is named "Spectre_Meltdown_Dashboard_dashboard.json.zip". Be sure to extract (unzip) the json file from the archive so it can be imported. Instructions on how to import the dashboard are below.

To import this dashboard into Qualys, go to any AssetView dashboard and click the "Actions" button and choose "Import New Dashboard"

Give the dashboard a name, such as "Spectre/Meltdown Dashboard" and click "Choose File." After selecting the extracted json file, click the "Import" button.

After the dashboard is imported, click the current dashboard's title and select the imported dashboard by the name you assigned to it.

Trending can be enabled in the widget settings for tracking over time:
