Apple deletes a log file we need for CAP. To fix, do the following:
Upgrading from 10.11 to 10.12 deletes a needed logging directly for the Cloud Agent, causing the agent not to start. (This will be mitigated in Mac 1.6 which will detect a missing directory and automatically create it.)
Until then, after your 10.12 upgrade, just do the following and everything should be working correctly, you’ll retain all your asset data, etc.
- mkdir /var/log/qualys
- chmod 640 /var/log/qualys
- if non-root: chown non-root.non-root-group /var/log/qualys
