Here are a few reporting best practices from our Support team.

Run trend reports

Run trend reports on a regular basis. Reporting on the same target hosts continuously with the same set of scan preferences gives the best trending data. Trend reports give you the perspective on the number of vulnerabilities detected over time, remediation progress and business risk.

Allow time for remediation

Be sure to allow time for remediation, especially for your first scans. Set aside time to review scan results and complete your remediation tasks. After seeing tangible results after a 30 to 60 day period, you will have trend reports showing evidence of remediation progress and you can share these results with management. See the online help to learn about remediation workflow.
