Here's a description of how to create a user-defined control (UDC) targeted at Windows servers that uses a WMI query to respond with the system uptime information. This could be useful for an infosec auditor, for instance.

Please find below 2 WMI calls you could use:

First WMI Query:

Namespace: Root\Cimv2

Query: Select LastBootUpTime from Win32_OperatingSystem

Result format: Dateformat ( yyyymmdd ....)

Result example: '20120816080036.725564-420

Second WMI Query:

Namespace: Root\Cimv2

Query: Select SystemUpTime from Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfOS_System

Result format: Integer

Result example: 9027098
