Issue:

I am a Manager and I cannot add IPs to my QualysGuard subscription.

 

Symptom:

When I go to Assets > Host Assets, the only options in the New menu are:  Export All and Download.


Cause:

If you have a Pay per Host account and you have met or exceeded the amount of hosts you have purchased, you will no longer be able to add additional IPs to your account.

 

Solution:

In order to add more IPs to your account, you will either need to purchase more hosts for your account or you will need to remove existing IPs in your subscription. To add more hosts, contact your account manager. IP address removal is possible from the user interface if you have the Manager role. You can go to Assets > Host Assets > New > Remove IPs

 

IMPORTANT: All data associated with an IP removed will be deleted and cannot be recovered, please excercise caution when performing this action.
